2018 Rideau St. Lawrence Science Fair

The Rideau St. Lawrence Regional Science Fair was held Friday April 13th at the Thousand Islands Mall with 42 projects and 61 students registered.  The Award Ceremony was held at the end of the judging with both category and special awards presented. The Ceremony was attended by students, teachers and parents along with MPP Steve Clark, Mayor Henderson of Brockville, guest speaker Wendy Onstein and industry representatives to present awards.  The Award Ceremony also saw John Waddington, a long time member of the Rideau St. Lawrence Science Fair organizing committee receive a Distinguished Service Award from Youth Science Canada for his commitment to science as both a teacher and Committee Member.

A total of 31 Category Awards were presented along with 33 Special Awards including Best of Fair Awards. Through the judging, three top projects have been chosen to represent the Region in the Canada Wide Science Fair, being held May 12th to 19th in Ottawa. This is a week-long science fair providing an exciting experience for students to compete and learn at the national level.  The Rideau St Lawrence Team members for 2018 are listed below.
